Do you work with my Insurance Company? What if my insurance tells me to use another shop?

Yes! We work with ALL insurance companies. With your approval, we discuss the repairs directly with insurance company to keep it simple for you. We also have “Direct Repair Relationships” with many insurers which streamlines the process. Some insurance companies might try to illegally steer you towards a different shop, but you ALWAYS have the right to choose a high quality shop to repair your car.

Should I File an Insurance Claim?

It depends. Start with an estimate & then decide. We’ll provide you with a high quality repair whether you use insurance or not. Evaluate the repair estimate compared to your deductible. Filing a claim under your ‘’Comprehensive” coverage typically does not raise rates. Making a “Collision” claim might impact your insurance rate.

Do you use OEM Parts? Or used parts? . . . also, What does OEM Mean?

OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer. OEM parts are “brand name” parts produced by the manufacturer of your car. For the highest quality repair, we prefer to use OEM parts as much as possible. However, “aftermarket” or used parts can be a option to make repairs more affordable. When you purchased your insurance policy, the policy language specifies the type of parts covered by insurance. Feel free to ask if you have questions about the parts on your car.

What if you find more damage than what was estimated?

Our goal is to provide an accurate estimate up front. However, when we start to repair a car, we remove damaged parts & body panels. Sometimes we find more damage behind these parts that wasn’t originally visible. If we find additional damage, we’ll prepare a supplement to the estimate and we’ll discuss it directly with the customer and/or the insurance company.

What about a rental car?

The cost of a rental car is often covered by insurance, but it depends on the coverage you purchased in your insurance policy. When you schedule your repair, let us know if you need a rental. We can schedule the rental car to meet you either our shop or your home. We can refer you to companies that provide rental cars or trucks to fit your needs.

Will my car be a total loss? . . . also, what does that mean?

A car is considered a total loss if the repair estimate cost exceeds a percentage of the car’s value. The insurance company will make the final decision if a car is considered a total loss.
